Rome welcomes Leaders First

On the 26th of November Leaders First opened its second branch in Italy with the event Inspiring Future Leaders


The event was organised by Leaders First in partnership with the Think Tank Trinità dei Monti in a prestigious location - the Banca Patrimoni Sella & C. office - in the heart of Rome.


Members and guests had a unique opportunity to meet inspirational speakers and learn from their professional experience, as well as gain an insights of the Leaders First organisation from the founder and co-founders.


The event started from opening remarks by Ignazio Carrassi del Villar - Chief Manager, Banca Patrimoni Sella & C.

It was followed by Mr Massimo Maroni - Portfolio Manager, Banca Patrimoni Sella & C. He presented the history, the company values, the private banking services and the unique investment strategy of the Bank.

After that, the founder of Leaders First Fabrizio Nicolosi described the mission of Inspiring Future Leaders event and three main areas of Leaders First educational programme: Soft-Skills Development, Events & Communities, and Opportunities & Rewards.

The discussion panel was opened by Manfredi Mattei Filo della Torre Co-Founder of Leaders First who introduced all three speakers at the event:

All the speakers showed their great commitment to empower the audience and provided insights into how to become a successful leader.


Elisabetta shared her views on what is required from a leader to inspire others: being a hard-working person, the role of generosity, being passionate in what you do.

Ruggero on the other hand highlighted how crucial is to communicate with your counterparts clearly and effectively. For Ruggero, leadership is much more perceived while the leader is strongly competent on his topics. Ruggero also focused on the importance of adapting and being flexible once dealing with leaders of different cultures.

Filippo remarked on the importance of learning from mistakes and not being afraid of getting involving into new challenges. Steve Jobs has been cited as key role-model by Filippo as driver for leading in a very disruptive way. Filippo also underlined how important is the resilience of the leader/entrepreneur as tool for continuing the journey started.

The floor was then opened to all our guests for a thought-provoking Q&A session.

The interview with our inspiring leaders followed by the closing remarks during which Mr Pierluigi Testa, Fellow Member of Leaders First & President of Think Tank Trinità dei Monti, introduced Roberto Baldassari - President and CEO of GPF Inspiring Research, and Luigi Capello - CEO LVenture Group e Founder LUISS EnLabs.

Roberto showed the result of the the research-survey "La leadership in azienda secondo i migliori manager. La leadership istituzionale secondo l'opinione pubblica" which has been conducted by GPF Inspiring Research - in partnership with Leaders First and Trinita dei Monti - on a target audience of approx. 850 people. The aim of the research was to show the key difference element of leadership between private and public leaders.

Last but not least, Luigi highlighted the importance of supporting  the young generation of future leaders. Young professionals and entrepreneurs are able to see and do things in a different way enabling exponential innovation. By supporting the young generation, Luigi means investing in young talents and their entrepreneurial projects, therefore, enabling innovation to spread and to change positively the world around us.

The opening of the second Italian branch is part of Leaders First's fast growth strategy in Italy and in Europe. After a successful event last Monday 26th of November 2018 in Rome, Fabrizio Nicolosi, the founder of Leaders First said "Since our second event in Italy, we foresee a continued growth of our organisation and activities all over Italy and Europe. We are confident that Leaders First will grow sustainably and this will happen thanks to the precious support of all our members, ambassadors and co-founders based worldwide.“
